African Australian Council ACT

The different African community associations in the ACT have come together to form an umbrella organisation allowing them to speak with One Voice. The elected Executive Committee is composed of:

  • Public Officer Kwame Asare Kwarteng
  • Treasurer, Dr Jeannot De Nadjitein
  • Youth coordinators, Rabi Celestina and Mabinty Koroma

Our Vision

Provide a unified voice for the African Australian Community in the ACT

Our Mission

Represent and advocate on behalf of the African community.

Foster social cohesion amongst Australians of African descent and thus mitigate any feelings or effects of isolation, social exclusion or racial abuse.

Promote our diversity and celebrate the African cultural heritage.

Engage with the other community groups in the ACT and in Australia.
